Tak butuh waktu lama bagi Google untuk memblokir akses
aplikasi YouTube baru di Windows Phone. Selang dua hari setelah
peluncuran aplikasi tersebut oleh Microsoft, Google pun secara resmi
menutup akses aplikasi tersebut.
Microsoft sendiri enggan dianggap bersalah dalam kasus yang satu ini. Mereka pun mengatakan bahwa Google secara sengaja menutup aplikasi tersebut agar user Windows Phone tidak bisa mengakses YouTube. Dengan begitu, pengguna Windows Phone tidak bisa mempunyai pengalaman yang sama dengan iOS ataupun Android.
Selain itu, Microsoft mengatakan bahwa Google meminta mereka untuk membuat aplikasi berbasiskan HTML5. Hal itu pun mereka anggap sebagai sebuah kesengajaan. Microsoft mengatakan permintaan akan aplikasi berbasis HTML5 tersebut tidak diajukan Google di platform Android ataupun iOS.

Persaingan handphone Android lokal di tanah air kian

terbaru adalah dari Cross, yakni Andromeda A20G.
Meskipun hadir dengan banderol murah, Andromeda A20G dilengkapi dengan layar berukuran 5 inci yang mempunyai resolusi WVGA 480 x 800 piksel. Di dalamnya terdapat prosesor dual core dengan kecepatan 1GHz, RAM 512MB dan memori internal 4GB.

Apa sih yang tidak mungkin
di dunia ini? Siapa sangka, akhirnya record ponsel tertipis di dunia
kabarnya baru saja terpecahkan oleh salah satu handset pendatang baru
dari pabrikan ponsel Cina bernama BBK.
Menurut postingan di jejaring sosial ala
Cina Seina Weibo baru-baru ini, pabrikan ponsel pendatang baru BBK di
Cina mengklaim telah berhasil memproduksi sebuah handset tertipis di
dunia yang dikenalnya sebagai merek ViVo X3.
Berbeda dengan handset ViVo X2
pendahulunya yang memiliki ketebalan hanya 6mm, handset ViVo X3 penerus
terbaru ini konon justru memiliki ketebalan hanya 5.6mm saja atau dengan
kata lain 0.4mm lebih tipis dibanding model pendahulunya tersebut.
Selain dibekali oleh panel layar sentuh
berukuran besar dari 5 inci yang mendukung resolusi Full HD 1080p, ViVo
X3 sendiri telah didukung oleh processor Quad Core MediaTek MT6589T
1.5GHz, kamera belakang berkekuatan 13MP, dan baterai 2000mAh.
Meskipun terungkap bakal segera dirilis

benchmark GFXBench yang dikenal sebagai HP Bodhi kabarnya memiliki nama
resmi lain yang baru-baru ini kembali terungkap.
Jika dilihat dari nama resmi HP Slate
8 Pro yang disandangnya, HP Bodhi ini kemungkinan adalah sebagai tablet
berpanel layar berukuran 8 inci. Selain bakal ditenagai oleh kekuatan
processor quad core NVIDIA Tegra 4 dengan clock sebesar 1.8GHz, tablet
HP mendatang ini juga akan didasarkan pada sistem operasi Android 4.2.2
Jelly Bean.
Dugaan sementara resolusi HP Bodhi alias
HP Slate 8 Pro ini diperkirakan sekitar 1600×1200 piksel yang notabene
lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan resolusi pada HP Slatebook X2. Dan
bahkan berbeda dengan HP Slate 7 terdahulu, HP Slate 8 Pro ini kabarnya
justru bakal ditujukan untuk segmen pasaran high-end saat ini.

Kegagalan dalam pemasaran
produknya lantas tidak serta merta membuat Asus down melainkan malah

Digitimes baru-baru ini, telah terungkap kalau Asus memang telah
berencana untuk mulai menjajaki pasaran Chromebook. Dan untuk
ketersediaan perangkat berbasis Chrome OS pertamanya sendiri, Asus
bahkan telah berencana merilisnya sekitar kuartal keempat tahun ini
juga.
Meskipun sempat ragu-ragu untuk memasuki
pasaran Chromebook, namun mengingat pemasaran laptop Windows-nya tidak
sesuai dengan harapan maka memaksa Asus berencana untuk beralih
memproduksi perangkat chromebook dalam waktu dekat ini.
Sementara perihal jenis chromebook apa
yang Asus bakal hadirkan, sayangnya tidak ada rincian apapun yang dapat
mempertegas keberadaannya sejauh ini.
BlackBerry 10 OS yang digadang-gadang bakal menjadi
penyelamat BlackBerry dari kebangkrutan ternyata belum memperlihatkan
